Cogs 3

Untitled #2, 27.9cm x 35.7cm

I'm continuing my cog series with this picture. So far I've sketched it onto cold-pressed water color paper. I've not yet decided what to do next. In all likelihood, I'll use this picture to create a sharper black-and-white image which can be used to create an image for screen printing. With the original, my plan is to apply watercolors keeping the cog a lighter color than the background. The sketch still needs a little work but I'll play with it and post the final product.
The cog in the picture itself is explained in my first 'Cogs' post. The addition of the arrows represents the power and precision (the inherent power of and respect due the individual) and the hand represents my disdain for control or feelings that others are trying to manipulate what I do. The cog turns the wheel. We each make our own decisions. We can decide. You decide.

Confirmed

"I wonder if everyone is nice because I'm 'special' and just don't know it. It sure would explain my inability to form and maintain meaningful relationships and why I struggle to communicate what I'm thinking."

"No, you're just depressed, need therapy and prescription drugs. Oh, and don't think about killing yourself--I don't like the thought of cleaning up after you."

Noted.
